19.1: Create an Email Template

The feature has primarily been designed to help the users of Mumara with multiple clients/users, especially for the clients using ESP Edition of Mumara, to create and manage email templates for their users/clients. However, the feature has the value for both Product Edition Clients and ESP Edition Clients. These email templates will work as predesigned readily available email templates.


The “Email Templates” that we discuss in this article are different than email campaigns you create using “Create an Email Campaign” link under “My Campaigns”. This feature has specifically been added to provide admin an ability to create and manage templates for its user/ client. It gives admin an ability to create its own email templates, keep them saved in the system and later allow access to its clients to use specific template(s) for sending email campaigns.


The feature is available for both Product and ESP Edition clients, and has been made part of left navigation menu. Click “Create an Email Template” and start creating new email template.

a)Template Group

The field is mandatory as Groups help in better categorization of email templates. While you create User’s Role Group and will start giving permission to your users/clients for specific email templates to use, all currently available templates will be listed under their respective groups, in order to make your selection more convenient.


b)Template Name 

Another mandatory field to fill with an appropriate name of the email template that you are about to create.


c)Create HTML Content


The “HTML Content Editor” or simply HTML editor helps to create and edit HTML content for the email template.  The “Tool Bar” at the top of the content editor will help to perform various actions like uploading new document, inserting pictures or table into the content, adding or removing anchor tags, choosing a font family for the content and other related tasks.


If you want to edit or create the email campaign outside the application, using some other editor, the “Source Code under the menu “Tools” lets you to copy the source code of your content.


Additional Notes: Since these email templates feature servers to manage email templates for clients/users, therefore, you will not be able to see options to insert Custom Variables, Spin or Dynamic Content tag options under the HTML editor. Because if the user/client who eventually will be using this email template hasn’t added any spin or dynamic content tag, the email template with Spin or Dynamic content would end up with an error. 


d)Template Preview (PNG)

Upload PNG file of your template preview. The users/clients to which you will offer permission to use particular email template, will be able to see this preview image in “View all Template” section before importing the template.

Permission to use currently available email templates can later be assigned to particular users/clients when creating the User’s Role Group. View “Template Permission” in “User’s Role Group” to know further about giving email template access to particular users/clients.

Email Templates User/Clint Side


The users/clients will be able to view allowed email templates in their “View all Templates” gallery on “Create an Email Campaign” page. Upon clicking the template name in the gallery, the template will be imported to the HTML editor and will be available for that particular user/client to use and send.
